The Leicestershire and Rutland Basketball Association (L&RBA) is the governing body for basketball, responsible for the development of basketball in the region, and is affiliated to Basketball England, the national governing body of our sport. The L&RBA oversees the many aspects of basketball development including the leagues (LBBL, LWBL, CVL), the officials association (LEBOA), wheelchair basketball, Walking basketball and mini and junior basketball in the area.
The Leicestershire Basketball League (Men) and the Leicestershire Womens Basketball League are governed by their own committees, made up of local players, ex-players, table officials and referees to run competitive basketball leagues and cup competitions for their members. The leagues cover Leicestershire, Rutland, South Derbyshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire.

Leicester Basketball Officials Association (LeBOA)
Leicestershire Basketball Officials Association (LeBOA) represents all qualified referees and table officials in Leicestershire and Rutland. It provides training and development opportunities for both existing and new officials, an appointments service to the league and cup competitions and acts as the “trade union” for all officials.
